An old Chinese proverb states ‘The time to start digging a well is before you feel thirsty’. How many of us know we are fatigued and stressed but wait until we become ill before seeking help? One of the fundamental principles of Traditional Acupuncture, as practiced by Ally Purchon at Lifeways, is that prevention is better than cure.
Acupuncture aims to balance the body and mind. When we are balanced, we feel happy and relaxed and our health is optimised. Sometimes our equilibrium can be disturbed, causing vulnerability in our immune system that may result in common disharmonies or ailments such as low energy, poor sleep, low mood and digestive problems, aches and pains or headaches. More worryingly, if we ignore the body’s messages for long enough, more serious issues can develop.
Many of Ally’s patients attend for regular acupuncture sessions throughout the year to maintain good health, often coinciding their treatments with a change in the season to better regulate the body in harmony with nature.
If you are interested in discussing treatment, or booking in for a seasonal adjustment, please call Ally on 07717 103115. A 15 minute consultation is available free of charge, or a 1 hour consultation, diagnosis and treatment is £50.
