Kinesiology involves the therapist talking to the body. Muscle testing is the tool used to ascertain a yes or no response to a therapeutic question by means of a strong or weak response in a muscle.
Touch for health
14 key muscles are tested on the body. If some are weak it indicates that the energy is blocked. Different muscles are related to certain organs. For example, the Pectoralis Major Clavicular is related to the stomach and emotional centres in the brain. Treating this muscle helps digestion / allergies and emotional stress.
Kinesiology can help with:
- Accident trauma
- Behavioural problems
- Digestive disorders
- Muscle pain
- Poor self esteem
Food sensitivity testing
Kinesiology is perhaps best known for allergy detection and also correction. The suspect substance is put on the body and a muscle tested. The muscle will show if the body is stressed by the food. Usually a simple correction is then done. If however there are underlying reasons why there are allergies, for example, emotional problems or nutritional reasons, then this must be looked at as well.
Traumatic events are stored in the body. When something similar happens in the present, the body's response is triggered again which increases the present stress. Kinesiology can access these events no matter how long ago and “dissolve” them. This is achieved through a number of approaches including muscle balancing, holding acupressure points, visualisation and age recession. The approach adopted is based upon the information arising from the muscle test.
