Reiki is a Japanese hands-on healing technique derived from ancient Buddhist practices - Rei meaning 'universal life' and Ki meaning 'energy'.
With hands placed at specific points either on or slightly above the patient's body, the practitioner channels energy which helps to remove blockages, increase circulation, balance the system and release toxins from the body.
Reiki is very good for relieving stress.
A therapy session
In the first session the therapist will explore details of your present and past state of health, and will talk about the help you expect to receive. You then discuss an appropriate treatment plan, which could either be a single session or a number of sessions according to your need.
For the treatment you are asked to relax on a coach or to sit in a chair whichever is most comfortable for you. You remain fully clothed, so comfortable casual clothing is recommended.
Reiki is complementary to, and not a substitute for, conventional medicine. If you are receiving medical treatment, you should continue to do so.
For the first visit please allow approximately one and a half hours. Further visits will take approximately one hour.
